Into the Arctic!
Grímsey
Cross the line

Step foot across the Arctic Circle on Grímsey, the only point in Iceland where this is possible. The midnight sun will cast long shadows across this grassy-topped island as our guide takes us on a walking tour of the area. With some sixty species of sea birds and its claim to being the only nesting site of the tiny dovekie, Grímsey is truly a bird-watchers’ paradise. Traditionally, the island was once inhabited by giants and trolls, but now, it is said, only their descendants remain. Spend a lovely evening with us in the far north and receive a special Arctic Circle certificate to mark your adventure.
